Karachi: The premier umpire of Pakistan Aleem Dar has been nominated for Sitara-I-Imtiaz which is one of the highest Pakistan civilian award in the Order of Excellence. The award is granted for the highest degree of service to the state, and for services to international diplomacy.
The government decided to confer Sitara-E-Imtiaz to the living legend Aleem Dar on the occasion of Independence Day, 14th August, 2012 on the recommendation of the Prime Minister
Many other Civil Awards has also been conferred for Pakistani citizens and Foreign Nationals for excellence in various fields of activities.
The investiture ceremony will take place on the coming Pakistan Day, 23rd March, 2012 where the nominees would get the highest awards.
