People are appreciating the Interim government and Lahore Development Authority (LDA) for repairing the sink hole on mall road within 24 hours.
It was the biggest sink hole that appeared in Lahore in recent years after 252 millimeter rain hit the provincial capital. The giant sink hole appeared on the mall road near General Post Office (GPO).

The provincial and city government was criticized for the appearance of the sink hole who took immediate notice claiming that action will be taken against those involved.
According to LDA Director General Ms. Amna Imran Khan the main cause of the appearance of sink hole was PTCL open ducts located near GPA which allowed water seepage under the road.
Water reached the sub soil resulting in cavity of which the sink hole was the final result. She briefed the caretaker Chief Minister that the open ducts of PTCL have been sealed to stop water leakage.
In an amazing show of activeness the LDA filled sink hole and opened the road for traffic. Asphalt work has been delayed because it is expected that Lahore will receive more rains in this monsoon.
