father of 42 childrenHaji Abdul Majeed is father of 42 children and is a resident of Quetta, capital of Balochistan. He has 22 daughters and 20 sons and they all live together in a family compound with separate rooms for his separate wives.

It is said that Haji Abdul Majeed had married 6 women in total. His two wives died after which he married another two, currently he is living in the area of Noshki with his 4 wives and 42 children.

Unlike the usual believe that greater number of children will mean lack of resources the family is financially well and all sons and daughters of Haji Abdul Majeed are getting education.

The record for greatest number of children is by a Russian husband & wife,  Feodor Vassilyev & Shuya who gave birth to 69 children. The major reason for such great number of children was possible only because Shuya gave births to twins, triplets and quadruplets.
