It is expected that Federal government will announce Eid holidays in Pakistan from 14th June (Thursday) till 18th June (Monday), which means this time there will be 5 days Eid holidays.

This is a summary which was prepared by Interior Ministry but awaits approval after which government will announce Eid-ul-Fitr holidays for 2018.
According to Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) chances of moon sighting are on 15th June, which means there are high chances that Eid in Pakistan will be observed on Saturday. But there is also fewer chance that moon will be sighted on Thursday (14th June), making Friday the first day of Eid.
Last year government announced Eid holidays for just three days which many people believed were insufficient. In many countries Eid holidays are far more than Pakistan, last year Eid ul Fitr holidays in different countries were as follows:
Saudi Arabia: 23-day public holiday
Qatar: 11-day holiday
Oman: Nine-day holiday
Jordan, Palestine: Six-day holiday
Egypt, UAE, Kuwait: Five-day holiday
