K-Electric and SSGC are fighting on twitter to prove which corporation is responsible for severe power shortage and load shedding in Karachi.
K-Electric started extra load shedding in almost all areas of Karachi, including areas declared load shedding free after rise in temperature.

SSGC used twitter to reject these claims by K- Electric, the corporation claimed that gas supply to K-Electric has not been reduced. They accepted that SSGC is receiving less gas from fields yet is providing reasonable gas supply to K Electric.

In response to SSGC K-Electric provided the amount of gas supply in 2016, 2017 and 2018. The gas supply during summer from SSGC is 193, 160 & 90 MMCFD respectively. K-Electric claimed that this is not sufficient in summers due to which demand is not being met.

When oil prices in international market surge up.. you take that opportunity and increase electricity tarriff … Now you tell us s the gas pressure is low… Which one is true ???? If you are using gas , then why do you charge us heavily in name of oil prices ?

Others questioned the use of gas, one customer said we are being charged according to furnace oil and now you claim load shedding is due to shortage of gas. Some criticized SSGC for not providing enough gas to K Electric.
Stop lying and provide sufficient supply to @KElectricPk
