Special Education Department of Punjab is responsible for providing education opportunities to children with visual, hearing, physical or mental disability. At least 273 institutions are working under the department for which jobs are available.
New jobs are advertised in newspapers and later the details are updated in the careers section of the website but users cannot apply online.
How To Apply?
As no online facility is available the only method to apply for jobs in special education department is through mail. Follow these steps to successfully apply in the department:
- Browse the careers section and select the job for which you want to apply for.
- See the eligibility criteria and check whether you meet the minimum criteria
- Send your application and documents to the department.
When sending your application remember to write the title of the post on the envelope and make sure that it reaches the concerned department within due date. No application will be accepted after due date.

The maximum age limit, minimum education, experience & other requirements will differ according to the vacancy and post. These details will be mentioned in the advertisement and will also be updated on the careers section.
What Documents Are Required?
Attested copies of certain documents will be required with your application form, failure to attach these documents will result in failure of your consideration for the post. These documents are CNIC, Domicile certificate, educational certificates and experience letter.
Hiring Process:
The hiring process in the department is same as any other government department. After due date the applications will be assessed and shortlisted candidates will be invited for written test and interview. The date, location and time of the test & interview will be informed by the department.
Who Can Apply?
If you are a permanent resident of Punjab with domicile then you can apply for the post. Â Applicants from all over Punjab are requested to apply, such as from Lahore, Faisalabad, Sialkot, Bahawalpur, Multan &Gujranwala.
Training courses are also offered by the department to teach and train teachers and other staff so that they will be able to capable to deal students with special needs properly. Duration of these courses may range from few days to a month.
