In today’s world just having a salary is not enough to bear your expenses, especially if you are planning to buy a house or want to secure your retirement life. This is why many people want to invest some amount in sectors and businesses from where they may get a benefit in the future, for this there are many opportunities in Pakistan.
There are multiple options for investment whether you want to be active in the business or just want to make investment and forget it about few years. The best option is real estate because of the greater return, safety and least involvement.
Investment In Real Estate:
Karachi is the best place for real estate investment because of the highest return in property & land. In some areas of Karachi such as near Karachi University the growth in land was more than 15% in just three months. Similarly the growth in houses was more than 9% for the same period.
But investment in property needs a larger sum so if you are interested in smaller amounts then you may go for Gold. Here you can get return between 3%-10% depending on the market but it is a good way to secure your investment from inflation and currency debasement.
How to invest in Gold?
The easiest and most safe way to invest in gold is by buying gold coins or bullions (bars) which are available from multiple sources in Pakistan & around the world. You can purchase and store them at your home or for more safety in a bank locker.
If you want to invest in Gold then you should wait when the price of gold is at lowest, for example on 27th October gold was available in Pakistan at Rs. 133,500 and on 30th October it was being sold at Rs. 134,500. If you are lucky enough you will get a 5% return within 3-6 months, if you repeat the cycle for two or three times you will get a return of at least 10%.
Even if you don’t want to invest then buying gold is better than keeping your cash at bank because your cash will lose it value because of inflation while on the other hand gold will not only secure it from inflation but will give you a return.
In January 1995 the price of gold was Rs. 11,705 per troy ounce, in December 2005 it was 30,520. Imagine you invested half million in 1995 then in December 2005 you decided to sell it for your children wedding. If you had kept cash that would have lost its value but gold not only protected you from inflation but have given you a 300% return.
There are many other ways to invest your money but they are either risky or need time, efforts & research. Many people invest in Stock but they usually end up losing their money because they never made the proper research about the stocks they were investing in or were unfamiliar with the risk associated with that particular industry.
