Karachi: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi Chief Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman has termed the Baldia Factory Inferno “a blackest incident” in the history of country and demanded immediate ban on Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), as it is not a political party but a mafia which targeted innocent people for its vested interest. He expressed these views while addressing a crowded press conference along with the affected families of Baldia Factory Inferno at Idara-e-Noor Haq here on Friday.
JI Karachi General Secretary Abdul Wahab, Naib Ameers Barjees Ahmed, Osama Razi, Ameer District East Younus Barai, Abdur Razzaq and others were also present on the occasion. Addressing the press conference, Hafiz Naeem made it clear that if the government and national security institutions would not take decisive action against the terrorist activities of MQM, then the peace in Karachi would not be restored.
He said that the JIT report on Baldia Factory Inferno was an eye opener for every patriotic Pakistani, adding that the said incident in which more than 260 labors were set ablaze alive just on refusing extortion was certainly an inhuman and brutal act.
“After the investigation of any high profile terrorist cases such as Wali Khan Babar killing case, May-12 mayhem, 9-April mayhem or Baldia factory inferno it is evident that MQM was behind all of such terrorist cases, which was an ample proof that MQM is not a political party but a terrorist group which involved in targeting innocent people”, he added.
During the press conference, Hafiz Naeem said that the path of all terrorist activities is lead towards Governor House and Nine Zero, adding that the national security organizations should take a decisive action against MQM regardless of any reconciliation for the restoration of peace in Karachi.
On the occasion, Hafiz Naeem demanded a transparent judicial inquiry on JIT report in connection with Baldia Factory Inferno and a transparent judicial inquiry on the other terrorist incidents including May-12 mayhem and 12-Rabi-ul-Awwal incident.
He further demanded to reveal the JIT findings on May-12 mayhem and April 9 terrorist attack before the public.
He also demanded to announce Rs1million compensation and a job to each families of Baldia Factory Inferno, adding that the Jamaat-e-Islami will also make its best possible education and heath arrangements for the families of Baldia factory inferno.
Earlier, JI Karachi Chief Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman expressed his deep sorrow and grief over the Hayatabad incident.
