Islamabad: The Prime Minister of Pakistan Mr Nawaz Sharif has approved the recruitments on the empty vacancies in Airport Security Force (ASF) here on Thursday. A statement issued on behalf of the Prime Minister House has said that while approving the recruitments on the empty vacancies of ASF, Mr Nawaz Sharif has said that the division 540 of Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) should immediately recruit ASI and Constable.
In accordance with the statement, the Prime Minster has further instructed that those who will be recruited in Airport Security Force should be trained in accordance with the international standards. It is pertinent to mention here that 10 foreign (Uzbeks) terrorists associated with Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) attacked on Karachi airport with sophisticated weapons. The weapons mainly included a rocket launcher, suicide vests and grenades. In this attack, 26 innocent people were killed whereas all these 10 militants were also killed. The Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan claimed the responsibility of the attack later.
After this tragic incident, Pakistan military targeted hideouts of the foreign and local terrorists in North Waziristan and an operation named ’’Zarb-i-Azb’’ was started following the attack made by the militants on the airport. No sooner did the operation Zarb-i-Azb started in North Waziristan, TTP spokesman claimed that the TTP still wanted negotiations but on the other hand, TTP’s terror activities continued and many innocent Pakistanis including Public, police personnel and Pakistani soldiers lost their lives.
The sitting government as well as the opposition except few parties were in favour of the operation Zarb-i-Azb. Few parties concerned that in the operation, many innocent tribesmen including young, old, children and women could lose their lives whereas Pakistani military ensured that no innocent life would be suffered with the operation.
