Islamabad: The annual Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) elections began Wednesday (31st October) morning electing Jamal Khattak as the undisputed provincial Vice President from Khyber Pakhtunkhwah during the polls for the year 2012-13, local news channel reported.
According to details, as many as 2,592 legal voters will cast vote at the polling stations set up in Islamabad, Karachi, Peshawar, Lahore, Multan, Hyderabad, Quetta, Abbotabad and Bahawalpur. But as the most number of votes are from Lahore, the candidates have made their grounds in Lahore.
The polling process started at 9am and will end at 5pm with one-hour lunch and prayer break from 1pm to 2pm. The media reports stated that three contenders Mian Israrul Haq, Ahmed Awais and barrister Zafarullah Khan were competing for the Presidency post, while nine were contesting for four seats of vice president from all provinces.
