Lahore: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) was never a mainstream political party, it was never regarded even as a political group before 3oth October 2011 when it staged a mammoth publicgathering (Jalsa) at Minar-e-Pakistan and finally managed to become a key party in Pakistan’s political arena.
Despite severe differences with the party policies and duo-faced stances on certain occasions, we must not rule out many positive aspects as well. The PTI Chief Imran Khan remain steadfast all through the hurdles and obstacles came in his way. He acknowledged his faults on a number of occasions which surely needs some guts.
He took about 15 years to make his party a masses party facing many up and downs during the long journey and finally made a historic attempt at Minar-e-Pakistan in Lahore last year.
Since then the youth of the country have started believing him as the sole Messiah, giving him an upper hand over others as he was never been tried and tested. However, Imran Khan must ensure that he do not lose more veterans of his party by allowing the turncoats controlling the policies of the party.
He must publicize the manifesto and future policies of the party if they come in ruling and must pick out his foes and friends for the upcoming general elections.
