Islamabad: The Establishment Division has declared the retirement age notification that extends retirement age of government employees to 62 from 60 years as fake and has ordered for an inquiry of the notification that was said to be released on 30th October.
The media reports say that after the notification news circulated in the media, they contacted Establishment Division’s Additional Secretary Raja Hasan Abbas to get some details about the notification but he expressed obliviousness regarding any such notification.
He said that when establishment division has not any proposal for extending employees’ retirement age by two years then how come a notification could be passed in this regard. ‘If anyone has released a fake notification then inquiry would be done in this matter,’ he insisted.
He further said that no notification has been issued about such by the establishment division and the media reports regarding this are incorrect.
