The Jamaat-e-Islami chief, Syed Munawar Hasan, has said that the US had come down to blame game and threats against this country in regard to Haqqani net work on seeing a clear defeat in Afghanistan but the Pakistani nation wont be deterred by its threats.
Addressing a grand Ghalba e Islam convention at Swabi, on Sunday, he said that the Haqqani net work was in Afghanistan and not in Pakistan, so why did not US take action against it in that country.
He said that Pakistan could not be held responsible for the security of the US and NATO forces. He called for full mobilization of the nation in view of the US threats and said serious efforts should be made for a complete national unity.
He said that today, PM Gilani and army chief Gen. Kayani were saying that the US could not do without Pakistan. “I would suggest them to tell Washington point blank that Pakistan can survive and progress without US”.
Syed Munawar Hasan made it clear to the US that if it cast an evil eye on Pakistan, millions of Pakistanis would be found ready for Jehad.
