Washington: A quake of 7.7 magnitudes has hit 100 KM away from Alaska, US Geological Survey. The quake was 100 KM away from coast of Alaska in Pacific Ocean. It was 10 KM depth in ocean. West of Craig, Alaska was the epicenter of this quake. It’s only a regional warning and no major tsunami threat, Pacific Tsunami Warning Center said.
There are no reports of any damage and causalities, local media reported. This regional warning is applicable for Alaskan coast.
On other hand, U.S. Geological Survey has confirmed that the quake was 60 miles away from southwest of Port Alexander in Alaska. That’s mean Alaska is the nearest city of this epicenter. People are receiving alerts to empty beaches, a local tweeted. People are living near areas while some are not willing to enter their homes.
