Peshawar: The 22nd death anniversary of the third President of Pakistan General Yahya Khan is being commemorated today with no signs of respect or esteem. No events regarding his life has been held today all across the Pakistan which tells the story of his villainous and strangeness among the people of Pakistan.
He was was the senior Army Commander, unworthy military dictator and on of the culprit behind the fall of Dhaka, the division of Pakistan into two parts.
He was born on 4 Feb 1917 in Chakwal. He got commission in British Army on 15 Jul 1939 amd became Chief of Army Staff on 18 Sep 1966 and held the office till 20 Dec 1971.
He was well known as a heavy drinker, died on August 10, 1980 in Rawalpindi, Pakistan.
