Wasim Akram Spoke Against Over-Coaching

Islamaabad: The efforts of the Pakistan Cricket Board is in the hunt of the batting coach since long, meanwhile the former Captain Wasim Akram cautioned against the over-coaching. Akram said that quick thinking and instinctive reactions is necessary in cricket, particularly for a team like Pakistan.

Lack of confidence was the major problem of the players of the National Team in recent tournaments. The country is fully equipped with talent but the main hurdle is to utilize it accordingly. Different countries have different mentalities rather it is subcontinent, Australia England or so on. The less we think the better it will be for us.

The fprmer captain also informed that the National team needs a bating coach to teach these young players the basics of bating. Pakistani batsmen usually do not use their front foot during their bating. They are not confident enough to come out, he added. Akram also claimed that Mohammad Hafeez is not a front foot player.
