Now anyone can check the list of vehicles registered on his CNIC online and through SMS service. This registration checker service is a new initiative which was launched recently by Department of Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control, Government of Sindh.
This new facility will be helpful in preventing car theft, illegal and unregistered use of transport, and other crimes using the CNIC and name of someone else.
Online Verification:
To check the numbers of vehicles, including both cars and motorcycles, on your Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) simply follow these steps:
- Visit official website of excise department
- Click on ‘Online Vehicle Verification by CNIC
- Provide your CNIC number
- Select car or motorcycle option
After submissions vehicles registered on your CNIC will be listed
Many other facilities and options are also available online through the official website of excise department such as verification of vehicle car registration, tax calculator and online tax submission.
SMS Verification:
To find out the numbers of vehicle registered on you NADRA CNIC simply write your 13 digits identity card number and send it to 8147 and you will receive the details within minutes.
This facility is available in all major cities of Sindh including Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur, Larkana and will be helpful in protecting citizens from undesirable situation where vehicles registered on their CNIC are used for crimes.
