Karachi: A meeting of the ‘Milli Yakjehti -e-Council’ was held under the president ship of the Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) senior leader Asadullah Khan Bhutto at Idara-e-Noor Haq here on Wednesday. In the meeting, the matters pertaining to the attacks on the shrines of Hazrat Bibi Zainab, Hazrat Khalid Bin Waleed and Hazrat Jafar Tayyar in Jordan and Syria were under discussion and a resolution was also passed in which the participants strongly condemned the attacks on such sacred places.
The law and order situation of Karachi, military coup in Egypt against Morsi government and injustice with the Muslims in Bangladesh were also discussed during the meeting. The participants were of the view that the foreign and anti-Muslim powers are hatching conspiracies in order to produce anarchy among the Muslim Community by carrying out such heinous attacks. They appealed the Ulema to call for religious harmony in their speeches during Friday prayers and unveil the conspiracies of external powers.
Addressing a gathering, Bhutto said that the United States of America through their conspiracies were trying to create division between Shiite and Sunni. “The sentiments of entire Muslim Ummah have been hurt through such attacks, adding that the Ummah has strongly condemned the incidents of attacking shrines”, he added.
“Milli Yakjehti Council is an identity of the unity of the Ummah and we should remain unity among our ranks”, Bhutto suggested. JI Karachi Chief Muhammad Hussain Mahenti said that the Milli Yakjehti Council is playing a significant role in order to unite the entire Muslim Ummah at single platform. He stressed upon the need of religious harmony and fraternity in such critical time, as the Muslim Ummah is passing through a critical juncture. “Through the unity, the Muslim Ummah can thwart the conspiracies of United States and Israel”, he added.
