Hammad Shams: Dear Ufone, I need to know the actual price of the super card (normal). On the card the price mentioned is Rs. 499, but all the franchises/ retailers charge Rs. 500 for the card. I used to ignore the fact that the price charged is Rs. 500. but, today I requested for my change of Rs. 1 and I was told the company rate is Rs. 500. I called the helpline (333) and I was told that due to marketing expense the actual price is Rs. 500 (I have that recording with me). If that is so kindly state it explicitly on the card that the price is Rs. 500. Don’t fool the consumer, I being an educated person has a fair idea of this Rs. 499 strategy. I have been using a super card since the promotion started. Now, I want my change back for the cards that I and my family have used. I will be formally launching a complain with PTA and the other authorities.
Stop fooling the consumer !!
Ufone reply on this on Facebook:
Dear Customer, we really apologize for your inconvenience, please share your number via Facebook message facility, so that we may contact you for issue resolution.
Hammad Shams: Apparently, I got a call from Ufone Islamabad (Consumer Support Department). As per the person I spoke, they are selling the card at Rs. 499, any retailer or shop selling at Rs. 500 should be reported ( share the name and address of the shop/retailer who refuses to give you change). As for the helpline, they will investigate, they believe its a communication issue( which I don’t believe). I have already emailed PTA. Ufone have that conversation in their record. They need 36 hours for the investigation and they will share the findings with me.
Let’s see what happens, Ufone should officially notify all the consumer through TV, FB, SMS that the price is Rs. 499 and anyone who doesn’t return the change should be reported.
The above conversation is taken from Facebook.
