
Two new routes of pink bus service exclusively for women were inaugurated in Karachi.
The Pink Bus Service, a women-only service, will begin operating on two new routes in Karachi on March 1st, the Sindh government said.
The statement was made during a meeting that Information and Transport Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon served as the meeting’s chairman.
The meeting was attended by the Transport Secretary, Abdul Haleem Sheikh, the MD of the Sindh Mass Transportation Authority, Zubair Chana, the PDNRTC’s Soheb Shafiq, the Operations Manager, Abdul Shakoor, and others.
Also, it was revealed that the Pink Bus Service fleet that runs between Model Colony and Tower Route-1 will be expanded.
Provincial Minister Sharjeel Memon and Nasir Shah arrived at the inauguration ceremony held at Seaview to inaugurate the Pink Bus Service for women.
The two new routes of the pink bus service include Route 2 from Power Chowrangi North Karachi to Indus Hospital and Route-10 from Exhibition Chowrangi to Seaview Clock Tower.
