Noticeable price hike of Rs.12000 have been taken place Pak Suzuki Motor Company (PSMC), adherent to the price segment increase by other competitors Atlas Honda and Yamaha.
Models GD-110 S (Rs.194,000), GS-150(Rs.210,000) and GS-150 SE (Rs.227,000) price have increased by Rs.8000 from their preceding price of Rs.186,000, Rs.202,000 and Rs.219,000 respectively. The other model GR-150 would have new tag of Rs. 307,000 after the increase of Rs. 12,000 from the old figure of Rs.295,000.
It is worth to mention that Yamaha has increased the price of the models four times in 2021, with a track record of Rs.14000 difference in price since the start of this year. On the other hand, PSMC has multiplied numbers in price thrice since January, 2021 with an increase of Rs.20,000. In the same run, Atlas Honda gave the raise six times a year with a maximum difference of Rs.23,500.
It is to be noted, that almost all the brands have not improved any of their present products and the quality being the same with no new introduction in products for couple of years. So, it is not justified on the companies end to heighten the price and, thus buyers question and doubting the market across Pakistan.
The local currency value with rate of US Dollar fluctuated every now and then, is always the top issue companies are addressing when making the price hike but remain silent when the international currency is stable.
