LAHORE: 43 dead bodies of those who have been killed in the suicide attack at Wahga Border have been handed over to the heirs whereas 5 corpses are still in dead house of the Mayo Hospital Lahore who have not been identified yet. The Chief Minister of Punjab Shahbaz Sharif has visited the General Hospital Lahore and asked after the injured.
It is pertinent to mention here that a suicide bomber attacked at Wahga Border yesterday when people were going back their homes after watching the flag hoisting ceremony. The suicide attack claimed 59 lives whereas many others were seriously injured. A corpse of four year old minor girl has not been identified yet whereas autopsy of 4 corpses was continued.
The bereaved heirs from Sanda, Lahore, who came to receive the corpses of a mother and her four year old minor girl, and the police transferred bitter words as the heirs could not get the corpses outside the dead house of Mayo Hospital Lahore. The heirs then protested. The funeral prayers of 7 people from Samandari were performed in the mosque, Al-Qadsia.
The funeral prayers of 5 people of the same family would be performed Baghbanpura after Namaz-e-Zohar. The injured are being treated at various hospitals of Lahore. The injured are under treatment at Mayo Hospital, Services Hospital, General Hospital and Ghurki Hospital Lahore. The FIR of the incident has been registered at Batapur police station.
