Saudi Arabia Plans Future City ‘Neom’ With $500 Billion

Saudi Arabia is planning to build a new innovative, technological & industrial city ‘Neom’ with an investment of $5 Billion. The new city will be powered by renewable energy and will be for those who want to be ahead of time.

The city which will cover an area of 26,500 square km will be completely powered by renewable energy, will be a hub for biotechnology, advanced manufacturing and entertainment.

The plan was revealed in a three day international conference in Riyadh which is being held under the leadership of Prince Mohammad. The conference is being attended by 3,500 people from 88 countries.

The crown prince also distanced himself from the religious identity that previous kings used to spread their influence on the contrary the prince is seen as a liberal face for the modern Saudi Arabia. He also talked about making the country a place for ‘Moderate Islam’.
