Karachi: The first Death Anniversary of Syed Saleem Shehzad, Pakistani investigative journalist, is being observed with solemn respect and reverence across the country. The cause of his death is said to be severe torture and murder.
He was born on November 3, 1970 in karachi and widely known for exposing links between ISI and Al Qaeda. The deceased wrote extensively for leading European and Asian media and also served as the Pakistan Bureau Chief of Asia Times Online (Hong Kong) and Italian news agency Adnkronos (AKI).
His friends and colleagues accuse Pakistan’s spy agency in the murder of the eminent journalist, as the Intelligence Agency warned the journalist at least three times before his death.
The journalist left behind wife Anita Saleem and three children Syed Fahad Saleem, (Syeda) Amna Saleem and Syed Rahman Shah.
