Dina Wadia, the only child of founder of Pakistan Mohammad Ali Jinnah visited Pakistan in 2004 for the last time. Her visit was planned for a single reason, to come and visit her father’s tomb in Karachi. But do you know what was her statement in visitor’s diary?
She wrote “This has been very sad and wonderful for me. May his dream for Pakistan come true.”
She was accompanied by his son Nusli Wadia, and grandsons Jehangir & Ness. They travelled to the mausoleum directly from the airport and also visited the place where personal items of Quaid-e-Azam were kept.
They also visited the Wazir Mansion where Quaid-e-Azam was born and Flagstaff house. Her son Nusli Wadia wrote that My dream to come here has been fulfilled. I will come back to see his dream come true.”
Her only other visit to Pakistan was in 1948 when Quaid-e-Azam died and was buried in the same place where she came after 56 years.
