Karachi: Preparations in connection with the public meeting organised by Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) on May 5 are on full swing. The public meeting is being held at Bagh-e-Jinnah opposite to Mazar- e- Quaid at 3.00pm tomorrow and permission in this regard has also been sanctioned, statement said. According to the statement issued here on Friday, Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Munawar Hasan will address the gathering. A large number of men, women and children are expected to attend the gathering.
A separate portion has been allotted for women, who will come to attend the public gathering and the JI workers and office bearers have started to run public contact campaign in connection with the public gathering.
Different committees including Administration Committee, Media Committee, Security Committee, Transport Committee, Traffic Control Committee, Reception committee and others have also been formed in connection with the public meeting. Posters, banners, hoarding and handbills of the public meeting are also being installed and distributed in the different areas of the city.
JI nominated candidates for national and provincial assemblies in their corner meetings have also invited the masses to attend the historic gathering of Jamaat-e-Islami. Rallies of JI workers in various areas of the city are also being taken out in this regard.
