Lahore: A three days long vaccination campaign will take place from 23 April in which 1.4 million children in the city would take polio drops according to the World Health Organization. Dr. Shafiqur Rehman, The consultant of WHO in Punjab witness all the preparation and arrangements before the start of the campaign.
According to Dr. Shafiqur Rehman WHO has stated Pakistan a high risk country with regard to the polio virus spread here countrywide. He also told this is alarming situation for Pakistan because under it Pakistan can face international travel restriction because of health regulations.
He further said all the elected representative of the Government will help in the campaign he request to all the citizens to accept their due responsibility to ensure that every child is vaccinated during the campaign.
Many private and government schools are going to take part in it and would play their vital role in fight against polio.
