Pakistan Muslim League-Likeminded group and PML-N both have formed opposition alliance. The leaders of the PML-Likeminded after breakup with the PML-Q Chaudhrys in July 2009 were trying to form unification with the PML-N individually or from the platform of the Muttahida Muslim League.
But many leaders in the PML-N opposed the inclusion of the PML- Likeminded Group and leaders of PML-N always maintained that these were the supporters of Former President of Pakistan Pervez Musharraf.
The central leaders from both parties including PML-Likeminded President Salim Saifullah, Secretary General Humayon Akhtar, Senator Ghaffar Qureshi, PML-N’s Sartaj Aziz, Ishaq Dar, Mehtab Abbasi and Iqbal Zafar Jhagra met and have a strategy for the reunion of both factions of the Muslim League.
According to sources both the party have decided to make first alliance as opposition and later on they will make alliance in elections.
