Islamabad: A petiton has been filed against renowned religious scholar Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman in theSupreme Court of Pakistan to stop him taking part in the meeting of Roet-e-Hilal Committee, several reports regarding this informed Wednesday.
According to the reports, Shahid Aurakzai, the applicant has held the view in the filed petition that Supreme Court has already permitted to appeal against the offensive language used by Chairman Roet-e-Hilal Committee and the person using insulting language against anyone is prohibited to make a decision on the sighting of moon.
The claimant has pleaded the court to abandon the National Identity Card and passport of Mufti Muneeb and declare him a non-muslim resident.
