Islamabad: The Employees’ Old-Age Benefits Institution (EOBI) has decided to increase the pension money to six hundred rupees in the Federal Budget for the Fiscal year 2012-13, spokesman EOBI informed.
According to the details, the minimum pension money in the Capital Budget 2012-13 has been allocated to 3600 rupees, increasing by six hundred rupees from earlier pension money of 3000 rupees.
The increment in the pension money will be applicable from 1st January 2012 and the pensioners will be getting their increased pensions of last five months, spokesman told.
The decision has brought a wave of happiness among the pensioners across the country and they have regarded it as the only positive step taken by the PPP government in its ruling years.
