Lahore: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is considering veteran all rounder Azhar Mahmood for crunch ODI and T20 series against India in December, this year. According to media reports, Chairman PCB Zaka Ashraf and Coach National Cricket Team Dav Watmore contacted Mahmood to ask his availability for the upcoming important series.
Azhar, 37, last played for Pakistan in 2007 World Cup in Caribbean but he is regularly playing in English county, New Zealand T20 league and IPL. He also represented Auckland Aces in the Champions League T20 where he led the team to victory against Kolkata Knight Riders.
The sources say that Azhar Mahmood might face some loss in Indian Premier League and English County if he plays for Pakistan.
