Lahore: A case against private TV channels has been registered by the local police on the orders of While Vehari district and sessions judge for doing offensive and blasphemy act in their programs repeatedly. The case has registered against 5 private TV channels’ managements and anchorpersons under the law PC 298/A.
The matter of blasphemy act of private TV shows will be perceive independently by the judge, Supreme Court declared on Tuesday. The five anchorpersons and managements included Mubasher Lucman, Muhammad Iqbal, Anwar Maqsood, Muhammad Mehboob, chief executive of ARY News Muhammad Salman Iqbal, ARY directors Haji Jan Muhammad, Samaa TV channel’s Naveed Siddiqui, Syed Sarfraz Hussain Shah of Abb Takk TV channel, Sultan Ali Lakhani Express News, chief executive of Dunya News Mian Amir Mehmood and other officials of the private channels.
The blasphemy act by the ARY News was aired on July 29, 2013, on February 5, 2014 Samaa TV channel done the same defamatory act, Express News on January 2, 2014 as Geo has thrown their blasphemy act recently. These channels have hurt all the Muslims and their spiritual feelings by broadcasting offensive TV shows against religious outlooks.
Claims against these TV channels, anchorpersons and management have been filed in also other cities including Sahiwal, Kasur, Khushab, Bahawalpur in order to ban these private channels for broadcasting blasphemy act and hurt the feelings of Muslims by their transmissions.
