Lahore: Pakistan and India are likely to resume the cricket series very soon as they are expected to take on in one-off or a three match ice-breaking series, supposedly to be held in New Delhi. The series is to be held during the 13-day gap on Indian Team before the series against England which is to be started from mid November this year.
An official of BCCI was quoted saying, there is no other slot available for the recommencement of bilateral series between the two arch rivals after almost five years.
He told the series would constitute only ODIs and T20, not Tests. He explains that it might be two ODIs and one T20 or two T20 and one ODI as the series has to be finished within nine days. But the sources informed that there would only be an ODI.
The venues for the series are yet to be decided but the sources say that it could be Delhi, Mohali and Kanpur and Chennai also.
It is to mention here that the last time the two countries played a Test series was in late 2007 in India. India afterwards didn’t tour Pakistan following the Mumbai attacks in 2008.
