Islamabad: Pakistan has delayed decision to give India Most Favored Nation status, AwamiWeb reported on Thursday. Federal Minister for Textile Makhdoom Shahabuddin told media that Pakistan hasn’t make India Favorite nation. Earlier, it was expected that Pakistan will announce this before 31st December 2012 but PPP Government revert from this.
Indian Government was waiting for this announcement from Pakistan but now this new statement from Pakistan’s federal Minister will definitely hurt Indian Business sector. Indian Exporters and Importers were welcomed previous announcement. On other hand, some religious Parties in Pakistan are already protesting on this issue. Dozens of massive protests were recorded in last few weeks.
Federal Minister for Textile also claimed that Indian hasn’t given us equal business facilities. He further explained that we can’t give Favorite Nation label to India until they will give us adequate level of facilities. Some critics already claimed that Pakistan can delay its decision due to pressure from some religious organizations.
