Oxford university press is organizing an Urdu story writing competition, whereby the competitors will be asked to compose a story of 2000 words on any topic. Anybody can apply to this competition. All they have to do is pen down their thoughts on a piece of paper in the form of a short story and send it to the competition. The best stories will be selected among these stories for the Karachi Literature Festival that is scheduled to be held in 2015.
The stories can be based on real life events or it could be fantasy based as well. But the story should be the original creation of the writer itself. The story should be typed in Urdu and should be not more than 2000 words. The story writer should be at least 18 years of age. The last date of submitting the stories is 31st may, 2014.
The Oxford University press reserves the right of modifying or correcting the stories before their publication on the event of the 2015 Urdu Literature Festival. The lucky writers, whose stories will be selected, are going to be informed about this good news through email or by post. The writer should write their names, address, contact number, email address and a short introduction about themselves with the stories.
