Dhaka: More than 50 people face death here in the in South-East Bangladesh on Wednesday following multiple landslide incidents and serious rainfall, sources informed.
According to the sources, this has been the worst monsoon rainfall in the Chittagong region, the second largest city of the country.
The officials informs that at least 150, 000. People have also been trapped by the floods and landslides.
Meanwhile, rescue operations are underway and the army has been deployed to help with search and rescue efforts in the affected hill region. Flights to Chittagong Airport have been postponed.
