Mumbai: Online protest has been run by several people on websites, who oppose the notion of the advertisement that states the Bollywood King Shahrukh Khan calling fair complexion as mere a tool for achieving success. On the website a campaign is being run bearing the title “Dark Is Beautiful” in which several comments against SRK have been leveled while around 10,000 people have supported the campaign by signing online.
People have expressed that the use of such phrases is direct attack to the looks and complexion of the dark people of all groups and gender may they be male, female, children or aged people. Views expressed on the website stated that such phrases will build inferior complexity among the dark people and they would feel it difficult to move in the society.

It is not for the first time that dark complexion has been made the target for running the advertisements. Many other advertisements like “Fair Men” also called fair people handsome while being a dark guy he ran from society being feared of his complexion.
Unfortunately in societies like India and Pakistan dark people are often targeted and made feel insecure to consider them among the beautiful people unlike the western countries who treat every one equally irrespective of cast, color, creed or religion.
