Through your esteemed column, I want to raise a very important matter concerning my area Gulshan-e-Hadeed. When this area was established, it was not considered to be the part of Karachi as this area lies too far! But now, Gulshan-e-Hadeed is the part of Karachi. Due to its distance, people have to face many problems and one of them is public transport.
Though people have to go to different areas all over Karachi for their jobs, there is just one coach under the name of Muslim that passes through this area. Its route leads to Sharah-e-Faisal. Further the route leads to Jinnah Hospital, Shaheen Complex and Kemari. In the very beginning, different coaches and buses used to pass through this area but now just Muslim!
As petrol prices are hiking as well as the fares of the buses, people cannot afford to change 2 to 3 coaches daily because it expenses a lot to the people. Hence I request to the concerned authorities to please resolve the need of the public transport and give tenders to the owners of different coaches and buses for different routes.
