Lahore: Former army general and Dictator of Pakistan Pervez Musharraf have sold the reserves of Tharparkar, Sindh to foreign companies during his ruling period, due to which residents of Thar are even deprived of land rights. In Musharraf era the coal reserves were sold to foreign companies which deprived the people of basic property rights.
Pervez Musharraf in his ruling period sold many precious reserves which include coal reserves too. This is the basic reason of famine in Thar. According to media reports, three governments have passed and none of them felt mercy on the situation of people living there.
Leaders of the country sold the land and resources and now innocent children are giving sacrifice, stated in report. Musharraf sold precious resources of Thar while Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) were busy in celebrations of Youth Festivals.
These governments even did not dare to know the situation of people who are now suffering from severe Drought in the land. A land which is full of resources, its people are dying of hunger and thirst. On the other hand limited aid is being provided only by some organizations.
