Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Sector incharge Abdul Rahman, alias Bhola, accepted in front of court that he arsoned the factory on orders of MQM Karachi Tazneemi Committee Hammad Siddiqui.
He confessed in front of Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) that Hammad Siddiqui asked for share in the factory which the owners denied, after rejected Hammad ordered Abdul Rahman to teach a lesson to the factory owner. He claimed that it was on his orders that I used chemical to arson the factory.
Abdul Rahman was accused for setting fire Ali Enterprise, a factory in Baldia Town which was the worst industrial disaster in Pakistan because 259 workers lost their life.
He left Pakistan but was arrested by Interpol from a red light district hotel in Bangkok, Thailand. Then a team from Pakistan’s Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) brought him back.
The court ordered the FIA to also arrest the main culprit Hammad Siddiqui through Interpol and adjourned the hearing till 29th December.
