Lahore: Another Musharraf man shakes hand with anti Musharaf Nawaz Sharif party as now the chief of Pakistan Muslim League – Zia (PML-Z) Ijazul Haq decides to join Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) after a series ofmeetings and negotiations between both the groups, local news channel reported on Tuesday.
Ijaz-ul-Haq, who was the federal minister for religious affairs and minorities during Pervez Musharraf’s regime, said he will officially announce his decision in a few days after meeting PML-N Chief Nawaz Sharif.
He was further quoted as saying that he took this decision because he wanted to make an alliance with the party in the upcoming general elections. Analysts believes the development as pre-elections politicking.
Former military dictator Ziaul Haq’s son said another reason behind the decision is that he wants to see all Muslim Leagues get united once again.
