Lead Pencil Banned In Police Stations

Lead pencils have been banned from use in Punjab police stations. The district and sessions judge has imposed this ban.

The court has issued an instruction that all police stations must use ball point instead of lead pencils to write FIRs (First Information Report).

This order has been made to curb changes to FIRs and implication of people after registration of cases.
