LAHORE: Lahore High Court (LHC) has stopped the implementation on death sentence of a culprit today. According to details, a division bench of Lahore High Court has ordered not to hang the terrorist named Muhammad Faiz on January 14th, 2015 on the basis of his appeal being heard in the Supreme Court. Muhammad Faiz is accused of killing the officials of intelligence institutions.
It is to be mentioned here that Muhammad Faiz filed an appeal that his appeal against death sentence was already under hearing in the Supreme Court but the special anti-terrorism court had issued death warrant before the verdict was made on his appeal and now he is going to be hanged on January 14th, 2015.
The Lahore High Court took a strong notice of the matter and said unless the verdict of the appeal of accused was made, how could he be hanged? IG prisons and the Superintendent of Faisalabad ensured Lahore High Court in written that after the completion of the process of the terrorists Muhammad Faiz’s appeal, the implementation on his death sentence would be made in accordance with the law.
