Colombo: World famous International Cricket Umpire Simon Taufel has revealed some untold facts about the reasons behind his early retirement from the International cricket. Australian umpire Taufel said that the attack on Cricket team bus in Lahore on March 3, 2009 completely changed his thinking about life and the game of cricket.
He said that after the Lahore attacks, security for cricket teams got increased hugely; team’s security became the top most priority. “I am lucky to have my family and you people today,” he said while talking to the media here on Saturday.
World record holder umpire Taufel revealed that there were many reasons behind his early retirement from the cricket and Lahore Cricket Team Attack was one of them. He wished cricket return to Pakistan very soon and the conditions for cricket gets better in the country.
