Protests and rebellions against kings can be found in almost each and every region of the world but what the ruler of Denmark faced in 1672 is one of the most awful thing which can happened to a ruler.
Johan de Witt was the ruler of Denmark in 1672 when it was in war against England and France. The people of Denmark believed that the king was a weak man and wanted to replace him with his another prince from House of Orange.
When Johan de Witt was his way to visit his brother the protestors attacked him and he was killed. Not only he was killed but many protestors ate parts of his body including his eyeball and liver.
Some consider the French Revolution to be the worst where protestors dragged, tortured and killed hundreds of nobles and ruling family members, including children and women.
