This guy (in above photo) cleans up beach every day and stops after every two rounds each of 250 meters to remove trash manually stuck in the machine. When will we realize and take ownership of our surrounding before blaming those on top and those on bottom.
We can clearly see what we throw on our visit including jute bags, carpet (which someone might have brought for picnic), glass bottles(including alcohol), plastic, cans, wood sticks, ropes, all which is beyond capacity and capability of even machines to clean and clear. We need to clean our mind and clear our thoughts to appreciate environment and those who are involved to clear the mess.
It’s not a gift by DHA to Karachi, its gift from Karachi to DHA which they have to maintain and beautify. DHA is equally responsible for the mess, only providing two of these machines for the whole beach, and only one was spotter today at work.
Not all the countries in the world are blessed with sea and we are the lucky ones to have such a beautiful natural sandy beach that attracts local and international visitors, now converting into environmental hazard by our own acts.

This is a great post to aware people. We must educate our kids to throw the trash in the bins. When any of my kids eat chewing gum I ask them to put the wrapper in my bag and when you are done chewing. You take the wrapper out fold the gum and throw in the bin.
Before expecting any ideal situation we must gone through the 360 degree analysis of factors behind it. will you please tell me that how many dustbin are there on the beach, how many volunteers are educating the people, how many surveillance camera monitor these activities, how much fine impose on through garbage on the beach, how many lights glow on nigh time. For your kind information neat & clean streets & beaches are because of these factors in abroad. So once DHA/Govt. take measures on one place than people will automatically habitual and will take care on other place as well.
Karachi’s beach no more belongs to karachiittes.. it is people from other cities who come and pollute since they don’t own karachi. Every human is responsible to take care of nature/environment May it be Pakistan or any other part of the world.
