Unlike the case of Zainab here police had information about the abduction and the place where Sumaira was being held. Sumaira was successful in contacting the family after tracing the number the family was successful in knowing that their daughter was kept in Mandi Bahauddin.
Her mother contacted Madina Colony Police station in Karachi where the FIR was registered for the missing girl. The police demanded a bribe of Rs. 300,000 to recover the girl, when her mother pleaded that she is unable to pay such a huge amount the police refused to help the family.
After receiving no help from state institutions her mother decided to help her daughter on her own. She contacted her brother & other relatives and visited the location herself. Through the influence of the Chaudhry of that area she was able to meet her daughter for few seconds but later the young teenager was killed.
‘My daughter had memorized Quran she never went out without Hijab and when I met her she was not even wearing Dupatta’ recalled her mother.
When judiciary has totally focused on politics by paralyzing police & other law enforcement agencies criminals are free to do anything. Similarly when military is busy in destabilising own country enemies are free to conquer you. This is what we are facing #JusticeForSumaira
