Islamabad: DG ISI Lt Gen Ahmed Shuja Pasha will retire today. He was appointed for this post in October 2008. He got job duration was increased two times. Many conflicting events happened during his Tenure. Osama Bin Laden was killed during his era while Memogate Issue also created instability among PPP-Government and Armed forces.
Recently Times Magazine issued Top 100 most influential personalities of world and Ahmed Shuja Pasha was one of them. ON 19 March, Appointed DG ISI chief Lt Gen Zaheer ul Islam will take charge.
On other hand, a lawyer Tariq Asad filed an application in Supreme Court. According to details, Advocate Tariq Asad requested SC to put Pasha’s name in Exit Control List (ECL). Applicant told court that almost 3000 people are missing in Pakistan and they are under ISI custody. He said that Shuja Pasha’s presence is necessary in these cases.
