New Delhi: As India is considered as the most visited place by the tourists, it now has softened its tourism policies for 180 countries. In these 180 countries Pakistan has been excluded. Some of the local media channels of Pakistan have said that it is a sign of hatred from India. They have also said that such acts of the neighboring country may cause difficulty in the relations of both countries.
A foreign news agency has stated that the planning minister of India Rajeev Shukla has said that except Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iraq and Sri Lanka we would be providing visa facilities for tourists of 180 countries. He also said that the announcement of the “Visa on Arrival” policy is to promote tourism in the country.
He further added that according to the new visa policy is very easy to take an Indian visa for the people of those 180 countries. Now they do not have to go to Indian Consulate or High Commission but instead of this they can apply for the visas online. The applicants can then receive their visas when they arrive at the Indian airport.
While previously, India has softened their visa policies for 40 countries.
