The International Cricket Council has announced the schedule and fixture of ICC World Twenty20 2016. ICC World Twenty20 2016 will be started from 8 March 2016, with the starting matches between Zimbabwe v Hong Kong and Scotland v Afghanistan. Big match between the two traditional opponents, India Vs Pakistan will be played on 19th of March. Total 58 matches will be played during the event, for both the men and women matches and 8 venues from India have been selected by the ICC for World Twenty20 2016.
In the first round of ICC World Twenty20 2016, 8 teams will be played the matches, which have been divided into 2 groups, A and B. From both the groups, winners will be qualified for the second round and will be part of either Super 10 Group 1 or Super 10 Group 2. In Super 10 Group 1, Sri Lanka, South Africa, West Indies, England and winner of Group B are included. While in Super 10 Group 2, India, Pakistan, Australia, New Zealand and winner of group A will play matches between each other.
As Pakistan is included in the group where strong teams like India, Australia and New Zealand are present, it seems that the national team will have to face tough competition.
ICC for World Twenty20 2016 will be ended after 27 days full of entertainment on 3rd April 2016.
